Metro Taxi is joining 45 major U.S. cities successfully using mobile taxi dispatching! We're availing you on-demand taxi service from the quick touch of your smart phone.
A mobile dispatch application that lets users book a Metro Taxi cab with their iPhone or Android. Metro Taxi is Connecticut's first taxicab company to respond to popular demand cell phone trends with on-demand cab service by using customized mobile software that is facilitated by Metro's Global Positioning System (GPS).

Metro Taxi Accessible Service
Metro Taxi was the driving force behind 2009 legislation that permitted wheelchair-accessible taxicabs in Connecticut.
Connecticut's first wheelchair-accessible taxicab means new freedom and equality for people with mobility disabilities. Powered by clean Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Metro Taxi's new MV-1 is the only domestically-built taxi that meets the Americans with Disability Act standards. Drivers with additional training and excellent customer service etiquette transport Metro Access clients. When used with Connecticut's first New Freedom Fund Taxi Voucher Program, customers may qualify for a 50% discount from the normal taxi rate.

Metro Taxi Unveils CNG Station
A September 26 ribbon-cutting at Metro Taxi's West Haven headquarters celebrated the city's first public access compressed natural gas fueling station.
"Years ago, the idea of 110 compressed natural gas-powered taxicabs coming to city roadways seemed about as likely as the city getting a magic carpet", said U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, Sept. 26, 2011. Now, according to Blumenthal, West Haven has that magic carpet in Metro Taxi. The Senator gave his remarks during a morning press conference at which state and local officials perused the new environmentally-friendly taxis and cut the ribbon on the city's first public-access CNG fueling station.

We provide traditional taxi service throughout Greater New Haven and Greater Bridgeport. Metro Taxi also offers similar medical livery, student, business and recreational transport through its affiliate, Metropolitan Livery. Our customers frequently rely on both Metropolitan Livery and Metro Taxi for comfortable and dependable transportation to all of the tri-state airports including, Bradley International, Tweed New Haven, Westchester County Airport, JFK International, LaGuardia International, Newark Liberty International and Logan International.

Student Transportation
Metro Taxi accommodates a wide variety of student transportation and lifestyle needs, including the needs of individuals with disabilities.
Metro Taxi transports special needs students who cannot ride the school bus or who attend schools outside of their school district. More than 40 vehicles in Metro Taxi's fleet are registered as Student Transportation Vehicles, driven by drivers with additional licensure to transport special education students to their schools and after-school programs. Our experienced drivers take pride in providing comfortable and safe transportation for the blind, hearing impaired and customers with behavioral health needs.
