Liberty Community Service New Haven Home Recovery South Central Chapter of American Red Cross St. Jude's Children's Hospital Tommy Fund The Connecticut Food Bank National Day of Giving for the Disaster Relief Fund American Red Cross Metro Taxi recently collaborated with Community Health Network of Connecticut, Inc., the only non-profit health plan in the state, by co-sponsoring and participating in “Healthy Minds/Healthy Bodies Day” at Bridgeport’s Columbus School. This past summer, Metro Taxi helped to sponsor the annual "Golf Classic" hosted by Community Health Network Foundation, a public charitable organization that advances, supports and promotes programs and activities to fundamentally improve the health status of Connecticut residents. Metro Taxi’s new eco-friendly hybrid vehicle was displayed at the 2008 Connecticut Folk Festival & Green Expo at Southern Connecticut State University on Sept. 14, 2008, where it also provided free public transportation to the Farmer’s Market and Common Ground Farm. Although Metro Taxi considers the giving season to be all year round, the holiday season is, by far, our favorite time of year.
